shower the blessing of change for the better. shower the blessing of seeing less people go hungry in my lifetime, shower the blessing of seeing the world move towards peace, shower the blessing of quick and nonviolent change to an environmentally sustainable future. Shower the blessing of seeing a culture of beauty, balance and delight being created.

Shower the blessing of good friends upon me. The kind who laughter comes easily with, who there is mutual respect, fondness, warmth, and encouragement with/from. The kind where giving and receiving is in balance, the kind that don't disappear, but endure. The kind who challenge me to think, and the kind where we pull the best out of each other.

There are many of these friends, I just had dinner with three of them. Keep these blessings showering down.

oh my. I'm grateful that Rob Breszny prompted me to do this.... to put out explicit wishes for blessings to be showered upon me. It's been working!

I'm grateful for laughter and for humor and I ask for the showered blessing of each day having something that I laugh heartily at, and that the funny outweigh the tragic threefold.

okay universe, multi-verse, and all you spirits and mysterious ones who are listening!

Gratitude. Shower the blessing of gratitude on me, let me wake each day feeling profoundly grateful for the gifts I have been given. Let me go to sleep each night smiling in gratitude for the day that I have had, for the miracle of life that is both mine and also this green planet.

and maybe somewhere around noon, midday, let me remember and reflect with happiness on all that I have been given.

the occupation of desire

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): "Desire is not an occupation," croons the
lead singer of the industrial rock band KMFDM. But I beg to differ, at least
as far as you're concerned. For the immediate future, it would definitely
not be totally crazy for you to play hooky from your job and stop doing
all the busy work you usually do so that you could fully devote yourself to
exploring the riddles of your deepest longings. I'm not just talking about
the yearning for love and sex, but every single one of your bone-aching,
abyss-tempting, reality-crunching hungers.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.........reality crunching hunger? This will be something to dream on.

Today I ask for the blessing of smooth travel and of SLEEP. Leaving at midnight to the east coast and tomorrow priestessing a wedding, I need to feel rested, grounded, and open. Let love flow through me and let all travel flow easily. Mercury be with me.

When I return I hunger to start work on the canvas on my easel and for the muse to sing through my eyes and hands...

Reading a paper by my friend Anne and having this prayer be part of it was and is a showered blessing. The whole paper was and is, actually.
